Concept
Novatron’s machine control systems assists an excavator driver with accurate data. We created a flashy instructional video as an introduction to machine control systems.
Objective
Novatron’s instructional material sets itself apart from wooden online courses. Our starting point was to make a visually appealing instructional video that would double as a marketing video for Novatron’s high-end technology.
The aim of this concise video was to give a comprehensive overview of the machine control functions and explain the differences between 2D and 3D machine controls.
Implementation
We chose to use 3D graphics because they are expressive and unusual for an instructional video. The look inspired by Novatron’s brand is minimalistic and elegant. The realistic excavator model helps the viewer perceive proportions and the clear infographics support the narrator’s message. 3D surroundings highlights the differences between machine control styles, and demonstrates the workings of the technology from both the excavator’s and the driver’s points of view.
